A worker.
A builder.
A provider.
Someone who has just finished a hard day.
Or yes, in some cases, someone who needs better hygiene habits.
But you can’t decide which one without knowing their history.
And that’s the point.
What We Choose to See:
Sometimes, society quickly associates visible “disorder” with inferior status or laziness. However, many of the cleanest hands in an office have never built anything tangible. And many of the dirtiest hands have fed families, built homes, repaired roads, and grown food.
The dirt comes off with water.
Not the character.
In conclusion
, cleanliness matters. Hygiene protects health and demonstrates respect for oneself and others. Washing hands regularly and taking care of nails are essential habits.
But respect for others matters even more.
Before labeling someone based on what’s under their fingernails, stop and ask yourself:
Are you seeing negligence or hard work?
Sometimes, what looks dirty is simply evidence of effort.
And sometimes, the cleanest thing you can do is not to judge.
